PART OF LEEDS COMEDY FESTIVAL 2023

Robin Ince returns to Leeds with a mash up of his two new shows that

are off to the Edinburgh Fringe – Melons! and Weapons of Empathy .

Melons! is a celebration of stand-up comedy and how punching melons on

a daily basis changed the direction of his career and eventually led

to ‘The Infinite Monkey Cage’ and arena tours with Brian Cox, while

Weapons of Empathy is a story of his obsession with books

Eric Idle has described Robin as “hysterically funny”

The Times Literary Supplement described his latest book as “joyous,

irreverent and more than a trifle eccentric – liberating and

life-affirming”

And his Radio 4 series, Reality Tunnel, was recently nominated for an

Aria award for best comedy while ‘The Inifnite Monkey Cage’ is winner of

Rose D’or award.
